Puna Hongwanji offers Buddhism classes on “Life & Death”

On October 29 and December 14, 2017, members and the general public had the opportunity to attend special Buddhism classes at Puna Hongwanji on the topic of Life & Death. The classes were offered from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and helped address questions of how do we can face our own end of life or that of our loved ones from a Buddhist perspective.

The first class featured a guided reading of Rennyo Shonin’s letter “White Ashes.” The instructor was Rev. Satoshi “Ka’imipono” Tomioka, Resident Minister.

The special classes were in addition to the regular Sunday morning Buddhism classes, which are held from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. preceding the 9 a.m. Family Service. Please join us to learn about and share the dharma.
