“Moment of Peace” Photo Contest – Please VOTE from now to Sept 18, 2019 at 9:00 p.m.
Please visit our Puna Hongwanji Mission Facebook page and vote for your favorite photo or photos. Select our photo album “Moment of Peace Photo Contest 2019” to review all 56 photos submitted by various people on what they considered a “moment of peace”. Voting runs from Thursday, September 12, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. You may vote for 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, or 56 photos. You will need to click on each individual pictu
re and like it.
Winners photos will be announced on Friday, September 20, 2019 at our Peaceful Twilight Gathering at Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Event will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At the gathering we will have Rev. Kawagoe on violin, Puna Hongwanji and Hilo Hongwanji Choir with Chrystine Trooien on keyboard, and the Keonepoko Elementary Chorus. We will have short messages by representatives of different faiths. There will be some craft activities and heavy pupu’s will be served. Some members of our temple will be taking a trip to Hiroshima so help us by folding a paper crane that we will take to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial.
