Online Halloween Contest 2022

This years online Halloween contest is being sponsored by the Puna Hongwanji Dharma School and Puna Hongwanji events committee. Our contest is open to the public and everyone of all ages. Deadline to submit is Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (HST). We reserve the rights to not utilize or post any photos that we deem inappropriate. Anyone 18 years and younger will need to have the consent of their parents to participate and post photos on our Puna Hongwanji social media.

COSTUME CONTEST:

Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple online Halloween costume contest 2022. Open to the public. Select an age category to participate in. Entries should not display the name of commercial products, companies, or organizations. Photos are due by Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (HST). Photos will be shared on our Puna Hongwanji social media pages. All entries by age group will be entered on the “Wheel of Names” and winners will be randomly selected. Winners will be announced by Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Have fun and be safe. You may enter more than one costume, but each person can only win one time to give everyone a chance at a prize.

If you are unable to upload the photo to this link, please email punahongwanjievents@gmail.com and include your name, age group participating in, short description of costume, if under 18 you authorize us to post the photos and use the name of your child on our social media, and you understand the photos are a donation to Puna Hongwanji so we may use it in the future.

FRUIT/VEGETABLE CARVING CONTEST

Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple online fruit/vegetable carving contest 2022. Open to the public. Select an age category to participate in. Using fruits/vegetables of your choice be creative and share your carving/creation with us. Must be your own original carving that you personally did during this contest time. Entries should not display the name of commercial products, companies, or organizations. Photos are due by Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (HST). Photos will be shared on our Puna Hongwanji social media pages. All entries by age group will be entered on the “Wheel of Names” and winners will be randomly selected. Winners will be announced by Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Have fun and please be safe while carving your fruits/vegetables. Age Group: 0 to 3 years old
Age Group: 4 years old to 12 years old
Age Group: 13 years old to 18 years old
Age Group: 19 years old and up

1st Place: $20 gift card
2nd Place: $15 gift card
3rd Place: $10 gift card
