Satoshi Kaʻimipono Tomioka

Born: I was born in Shimane, in the southern part of Japan.

Family: I have an elder brother and sister, so I am the youngest in the family.

Education: I finished my studies at Ryukoku University in Kyoto and my major was Intercultural Communication and Shin Buddhism. After that, I entered graduate school and received M.A. Literature Shin Buddhism, Ryukoku University, Kyoto

Ordained: Tokudo ordination and Kyoshi certification in 2010

Assigned: After IMOP (International Ministerial Orientation Program) in 2011 and was assigned at Hawaii Betsuin from 2013 to 2017.

Hobbies: My favorite hobbies are playing the ukulele, reading books and playing sports.

Aspiration: Since it was my longed dream to become an overseas minister, I am so glad to share the teachings of Shin Buddhism with members and people in Hawaii.
