Sunday Service – August 16, 2020
Our Hatsubon Service is usually held in conjunction with our Bon Dance, but due to the coronavirus schedules changed. Please join us to remember our Puna Hongwanji loved ones who have passed away in the past year. On Sunday, August 16, 2020 service will begin at 9:00 a.m. in-person or online either on Facebook and YouTube. Our guest speaker will be Rev. Shinsho Hata of Hilo Taishoji Soto Mission. His Dharma Message will be “Four wishes of Human Beings”.
With the number of coronavirus cases increasing please be mindful and considerate. If you recently took a coronavirus test and awaiting your results, please do not attend our in-person service instead join us online. If you are healthy and decide to come to temple, please remember you must wear a face mask/covering at all times during the service, have your temperature checked, need to fill out a questionnaire, sanitize your hand before entering the temple, sit on the designated spot “please sit here”, ensure social distancing, for the gathas and readings you will do it silently within your heart and mind, and after service no refreshments are available. We have these in place to ensure the safety of everyone who comes to temple. Thank you for your cooperation.
