perishable items or made a monetary donation to The Food Basket.  We had two car loads of donation totaling 1,003 lbs. and monetary donations to assist feeding those in need.

We were giving a tour and sat down with Kristin Frost Albrecht, CEO.  She expressed her gratitude and appreciated us helping our community.  She stated that there are people who never imagined they would need this kind of assistance are now seeking the help.  Also it could be our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. that really need the assistance during this time.  On a positive note they have seen the number of people needing assistance drop in Kona and Volcano.

For our random drawing congratulations to Maya ($50 KTA gift card); Deb ($50 KTA gift card); and Jason (Yeti Loadout 5 gallon bucket with lid).  Each and everyone of you are also winners as helping others is a great gift.  Thank you to our donors for these fabulous prizes!

We must thank the Hawaii Federation of Buddhist Women’s Association for coming up with activities we could do to remember the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

Thank you very much!  Mahalo Nui Loa!  Arigato!
