April 13, 2025 – Buddha’s Birthday Service – Hanamatsuri

Join us on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. for our Buddha’s Birthday Service (Hanamatsuri). Service is available in person and online via Zoom. Today everyone will be invited to pour sweet tea over the baby Buddha with the beautifully decorated hanamido (flower altar).

There will be no service at Puna Hongwanji on Sunday, April 6, 2025. We will return back to Puna Hongwanji on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Please join us instead at Hilo Higashi Hongwanji, 261 Mohouli Street, Hilo, HI 96720. We will be joining the Big Island Buddhist Federation (BIBF) for the Hanamatsuri Service (Buddha’s Birthday).
