Walk-In Celebration of Buddha’s Birthday (4/11/21 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon)
At Puna Hongwanji we will be opening our temple door for you to participate in the Walk-In Celebration of Buddha’s Birthday on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon. You will be allowed to offer incense and pour sweet tea over the baby Buddha. The pouring of sweet tea symbolizes the sweet rain that feel when Buddha was born. If you decide to participate, please help us by wearing a mask, sanitizing, maintaining your social distance, if you are sick please stay at home, follow our one-way pattern, We want to ensure the safety of everyone and make everyone who attends feel comfortable.
Paper Flower Making
We are collecting paper/tissue paper flowers to decorate the temple for Walk-In Celebration of Buddha’s Birthday. If you would like to help us make flowers, please drop them off at the temple on Sunday, April 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
