The path is herePlease join us for our weekly Sunday Service.  Our services are available in-person (with a mask) and online via Zoom.  The service on Sunday, September 18, 2022 will begin at 9:00 a.m.  This will be our Autumn Special Service, Fall Ohigan.  Rev. Satoshi Ka’imipono Tomioka will share the Dharma Message “The path is here”.

If you need the Zoom link, please email us at mpunahongwanji@twc.com.

Some of our Puna Hongwanji Cub Scout Pack 67 will be attending our temple service.  After temple they will be selling their products.  They have some of the items available or can place an order for you.  They were unable to bring in a bulk order of chocolate covered pretzels due to the heat and it may melt in transit.  The chocolate covered pretzels can be ordered and shipped directly to you and there will be no extra charge for shipping.

This popcorn sale is a fundraising for the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts and for the Cub Scout Pack and its members.  The Aloha Council provides leadership and maintains two camps on the Big Island.  Currently, they have a district goal in East Hawaii to raise at least $30,000, but have been able to raise only about $20,000  They’re afraid that they may lose the scout service center here on the Big Island and also one of the scout professionals if they cannot come up with the other $10,000 within the next couple of months. Please help our youths as they will be our future leaders for our communities.
