Let’s help in the fight to stop hunger.Puna Hongwani is currently doing a food drive for the month of January 2023 for The Food Basket – Hawai’i Island’s Food Bank. We are collecting non-perishable items and monetary donations. Checks can be made payable to “The Food Basket”. In the memo put Puna Hongwanji food drive. Please be mindful and make sure the items donated are not expired. We understand the cost of goods have gone up so even a small donation will be greatly appreciated to help those that are truly in need of assistance.
On Sunday, January 22, 2023 after Sunday service from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon we will have people available at Puna Hongwanji to accept your donations. In addition, if you have HI-5 items laying around we will be collecting that to recycle.
