Pahala Hongwanji Taiko – Maki Sushi Sale – Preorders Only Due by May 30, 2023. Sushi pick up June 24, 2023
The Pahala Hongwanji Taiko will be having a maki sushi fundraiser. Proceeds will be donated to support Naalehu and Pahala Hongwanji.
Accepting pre-orders only by Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Contact Lois Yokota (808-987-6005) or Kayo Munnerlyn (808-954-1187) to place our orders. They will be making a total of 300 maki sushi.
Pick up date is Saturday, June 24, 2024 at two locations:
- Naalehu Hongwanji (95-5695 Mamalahoa Highway, Naalehu, HI) from 12 noon to 2 pm
- Pahala Hongwanji (96-1123 Paauau Place, Pahala, HI) from 5 pm – 6 pm
At Naalehu Hongwanji they will open their doors at 11:00 a.m. for a special taiko performance at 11:30 a.m. A taiko performance will be by Takumi Kato and family of Ojai Valley, California. Admission is free.
