Join us for a special screening of the documentary film “Carving the Divine”, directed by Yujiro Seki. This film offers a rare glimpse into a 1400-year-old Buddhist woodcarving tradition and the practitioners who are working hard to preserve its legacy in a rapidly changing Japan.
This is a movie that explores the beauty of Japanese culture, the arts, and the relationship between a master and an apprentice (disciple). It takes you on a journey beyond the human world and into the depths of spirituality.
