Gotan-e Service (Founder’s Birthday Service) – Sunday, May 18, 2025
Please join us on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. for our Founder’s Birthday Service (Gotan-e). This is one of six major services that we observe every year. The service will be available in person and online via Zoom. The Dharma Message will be delivered by Rev. Satoshi Tomioka. His Dharma Message will be “A Broken World, Yet Beautiful in This Embrace”. BY DONATION BAKE SALE
The Puna Hongwanji Sr. YBA will be having a small bake sale after the temple service. The baked goods will be available from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon (while supplies last). The items will be by donation. The proceeds from this will be donated to our 125th Anniversary account. We are planning a celebration in October 2027.
Items available will be:
- Chocolate chiffon cake slices
- Japanese soufflé cheesecake slices
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Chocolate cookies (gluten free)
- Peanut butter party mix
- Chocolate and Matcha rusks
