Backpack Drive 2025 – Deadline Extended to Sunday, July 20, 2025
The Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple will once again participate in the backpack drive to collect backpacks for our island keiki’s. Last year the backpacks that were donated were kept in the Puna area so the keiki in the Puna area were able to benefit from our donations. We have participated in this backpack drive for the past three years. You may drop off any new and unsused backpacks to Puna Hongwanji by Sunday, July 13, 2025. The deadline has been extended to Sunday, July 20, 2025. We will then take the backpacks to the Keaau Police Department.
