Eitaikyo Sangha Memorial Service and Puna Hongwanji Distinguished Sangha Service Award – November 2, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.

Please join us on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. for our Eitaikyo Sangha Memorial Service and Puna Hongwanji Distinguished Sangha Service Award (DSSA).  Eitaikyo is one of the six major services we observed during the year.

The meaning of Eitaikyo is:
Ei – means perpetual
Tai – refers to generations
Kyo or Dokkyo – signifies chant or teachings

All together, Eitaikyo is a precious occasion to honor and remember our past members and ministers who made the continuation of our temple possible.  On this day, we re-dedicate ourselves to listening to the teachings and passing them on to future generations as Puna Hongwanji.

The service will be available in person and online via Zoom.  Rev. Satoshi Ka’imipono Tomioka will share the Dharma Message “You Are My 7 Minutes”.

The Zoom link will be emailed out later this week for those on our email listing.  If you would like the link, please email us at http://mpunahongwanji@twc.com.

During this service we will honor three of our DSSA honorees for 2025  This year we will recognize Clifford Furukado, Tokimi Miyatake, and Byron Toma.
