Bodhi Day Service – Dec 7, 2025 at Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission
There will be NO Sunday Service at Puna Hongwanji on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Instead please join us at Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. as we join the other temples at the Big Island Buddhist Federation (BIBF) Bodhi Day Service. We will gather with the other temples to observe the Bodhi Day Service which is when Buddha obtained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
After the service stay for activities and food. The event will run until 1:30 pm. If you have withdrawals from the Bon Dance season be sure to attend as they will have some Bon Dance as well.
Stop by the Puna Hongwanji booth as we will have human slot machine available.
Bring the family and enjoy the event at Hilo Higashi Hongwanji at 216 Mohouli Street.
