Hoonko Founder’s Memorial Weekend – Saturday, January 10, 2026 3:30 p.m. followed by potluck. Sunday, January 11, 2026 9:00 a.m. service

For the Hōonkō Founder’s Memorial Weekend on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. there will be a Buddhist Education Class led by Rev. Kazunori Takahashi, Hilo Betsuin.  The class will be followed by a potluck welcome dinner from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Let us extend our warm hospitality to Rev. Takahashi.

• Hoonko class 2026 (US Letter)

On Sunday, January 11, 2026 join us at 9:00 a.m. for the first of six major services we observe in the year.  Rev. Takahashi will be our guest speaker at the Hoonko Service.  We will share in a special chant, Ojo Raisan (Liturgy of Birth), the Choir, a special officiant ceremony, and refreshments.
